Last I played maybe last week it's alive enough to find a lobby. But sometimes there's like maybe 1-3 lobbies open for TDM on off hours. Depends heavily on time zone too. Around 5 am local time I start getting put into EU lobbies (I'm NA). As WW2 came out, two days in a row as a multiplayer servers down.

In terms of online, I prefer MW1, but I have no idea how active it is almost 7 years later. I will say that Crysis 3 still has a very sizable community and is my preference for Call of Duty multiplayer, as many of the gimmicks plaguing the recent games have been toned down and cut out, especially in the Cell v Rebel gamemodes. All of the CoD games before BO3 at least had a separate executable for Single Player/Zombies and MP, but at least since BO3 it was just one exe, so it looks like tons of people play BO3 but most of those are zombie players.
