The trilogy they recently did for the reignited trilogy spyro, was great,and it was amazing to replay them but i consider it way to cartoony. I wouldnt want that for TLOS or for them to change the voices, the story, the monsters, apes, spiders, Malefor, and so many more characters that appeared.

A port rather than a remaster might also seem like an easier solution to the fans' requests, and would hopefully also keep those against any Spyro game not in the original trilogy happy, since it wouldn't be so resource-intensive or huge as making a Spyro 4 or something.
